Thank you, Deluxe Depot Diner for hosting a fundraiser for Fountain Street Studios in October 2015.
Visitors enjoyed abundant small bites from the Deluxe Depot Diner’s extensive menu and DJ Mike Carmody provided a sound track for the festive event.
The event featured the art works of twenty-five or more artists who contributed small works to a silent auction and larger works for a pop-up gallery. All works were available for purchase. Participating artists included: Jorie Anderson, Laura Schiff Bean, Sorin Bica, Monty Brower, Kathleen Bryce, Cheryl Clinton, Marie Craig, Denise Driscoll, Jim Eng, Becky Kisabeth Gibbs, Dara Goldman, Catherine Gruetzke-Blais, Christina Keating, Linda Klein, Gesa Lenhert, Monica Nino, Jay Pendexter, Roy Perkinson, Margie Sisitsky, Joan Sprachman, Kristin Stashenko, Lisa Thompson, Felicia Tuttle, Anne Sargent Walker and Amy Weader.
Among our guests were Senator Karen Spilka and Deluxe Depot Diner’s Don Levy. Fountain Street Studios’ own Sorin Bica, designer/installer of the welcoming Gateway Mural just north of the Diner and Holli Andrews of Framingham Downtown Renaissance were appreciated with framed certificates.
Local business partners, including Duck Soup, Post Road Art Center, Framed in Time, and Andrea Dobay Esthetics contributed gift baskets and certificates which were included in the silent auction.
Fountain Street Studios, a group of more than fifty artists who have working studios in the Bancroft Building on Fountain Street in Framingham, came together this year to formalize our organization. Our mission is to promote the celebration of the visual arts and the success of artists working in our building and the region. In this spirit, we have and continue to welcome student artists from Framingham State University to show their art during our twice yearly Open Studios.
